The ongoing transformation of Heath Town:
o Energy-saving and noise-reduction improvements
o Creation of several new play areas, sports pitches, and much-needed car parking
o Construction has recently started on more than 100 new homes for the estate too
Amie, Tenancy Officer (right), supporting a customer on the Heath Town estate. Heath Town has recently been recognised in the UK Housing Awards for our work, along with our partners at United Living, in transforming the community.
Heath Town has benefited from investment by the City of Wolverhampton Council to undertake a major regeneration project, including property enhancements, new homes and new and upgraded community facilities.
Sue, tenant on the Heath Town estate, has welcomed the £120 million regeneration:
“I’ve lived on the estate for 52 years and I’ve noticed a massive difference in the past few years. I feel listened to, as safety was a concern of mine, and now we have more open spaces, more lighting in communal areas, and extra security when entering the blocks. The bright new colours of the buildings really cheer me up too as I go about my day. I’m proud to call Heath Town my forever home.”
